Install Ubuntu Studio 20.04 LTS Linux - Full Disk Installation on Computer

Recently I wrote about Ubuntu Budgie 20.04 LTS. In this tutorial, we’ll see how to install Ubuntu Studio 20.04 LTS on Computer.

Ubuntu is one of the most versatile and popular Linux distributions for its simplicity of use, great options for compatibility and scalability of applications, security and much more, what many did not know (until today), is that Ubuntu has developed a special segment called flavors which are distributions based on Ubuntu but with a specific focus, one of these is Ubuntu Studio.

Ubuntu Studio is still a free and open source operating system, being an official version of Ubuntu so we should not worry about support or something similar..

Ubuntu Studio is a multimedia oriented flavor of Ubuntu. It is used by graphics artists, video editors, audio editors, E-Book writers all over the world. It has a lot of multimedia software pre-installed, so creative users don’t have to go through all the trouble of installing them manually.

Also all these software are thoroughly tested to work right out of the box. It is an official derivative of the Ubuntu open source operating system and comes with applications such as Ardour2, Wired, Hydrogen, Blender, Inkscape, Pitivi, and many more, as well as a beautiful dark theme.

Ubuntu 20.04 was released on April 23, 2020. It’s a Long-Term Support (LTS) release, meaning that it will receive support and updates until April 2025.
